Firm’s Entry Selected as Finalist in 2018 Holiday Card Contest

The firm’s 2018 holiday e-card has been selected as a finalist in Above the Law’s 10th Annual Holiday Card contest.  ATL, a legal news website with over a million daily views, accepted entries from law firms around the globe, and announced the finalists on December 19.  All finalists may be viewed here, and voting to decide the winner of the contest continues through midnight on January 1, 2019.

Since 1998, the firm’s holiday card has featured original artwork by one of the firm’s founding partners, Michael Goodman.  Michael is a talented cartoonist – he’s been featured as an Editorial Cartoonist in the Richmond Times-Dispatch Sunday Business Section and his work has been nationally syndicated and published throughout the legal and business communities. In 2018, Michael’s original artwork conveyed the firm’s holiday message and was brought to life with music and animation.

“For 20 years, our firm has sent original holiday cards to clients and friends. Each year, we have tried to avoid controversy and to err on the side where all is merry and bright. While we continue to look for the elusive peace on earth and goodwill toward women, we figure that the holiday spirit has to start with Santa, include a cohort of reindeer, an occasional elf, at least one spinning dreidel and a hint of current events. The fact that we ever get it done before the New Year is a true Holiday Miracle. We hope the card simulates the joy you feel that moment when your brief is done or your oral argument is over—and makes your spirits bright!” – Michael Goodman
