With over 35 years of health care regulatory and corporate practice, Peter Mellette is now a GAD Member. Peter offers clients his knowledge and successful navigation of the Certificate of Public Need (COPN) process, extensive work on licensing and facility care issues, and practical advice and guidance to providers on complex contractual and payment issues

Thea Pitzen, who joined Goodman Allen Donnelly’s Norfolk office in 2016, is now a Member of the firm, leveraging over a decade of litigation experience in state and federal courts. Specializing in healthcare provider defense, she handles cases involving physicians, nurses, dentists, hospitals, and medical practices, offers risk management advice to healthcare clients, and represents defendants in various premises and general liability cases.
