THEDFORD I. HITAFFER

Ted joins our firm as a partner in our Intellectual Property Practice Group. Previously a senior associate with MacMillan, Sobanski & Todd, LLC, in Toledo, Ohio, Ted is a registered patent attorney with extensive experience in preparing, filing and prosecuting domestic and foreign patent applications for mechanical and electro-mechanical inventions. His practice includes assisting in the development and management of patent portfolios, providing infringement, validity and clearance opinions, investigating controversies, aiding in the enforcement of patents, and negotiating and preparing license agreements.

GRACE M. BRUMAGIN

Grace joins our firm as an associate and brings eight years of defense litigation experience to our Medical Malpractice Defense Team. Grace earned her Juris Doctor degree from the Univerity of San Diego School of Law in 1997 and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing fromthe University of Florida. she will focus her practice in the areas of Medical Malpractice Defense Litigation and Health Care.

SUSAN L. KIMBLE

Susan joins our firm as an associate from her previous position as an Assistant Attorney General with the Office of the Attorney General, Commonwealth of Virginia. She earned her Juris Doctor degree in 2006 from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and her undergraduate degree in biology with a minor in Bioethics from the University of Virginia. Susan will focus her practice in the areas of Medical Malpractice Defense Litigation and Health Care.

KRISTI L. VANDERLAAN

Kristi joins our firm as an associate having recently earned her Juris Doctor degree from Emory University School of Law. Her prior experience includes working with the Department of Health and Human Services as a HIPPA Specialist and a legal internship at the CDC in Atlanta where her focus was researching pressing health related legal and policy issues. Krist's practice will focus primarily in the areas of Medical Malpractice Defense and Corporate and Regulatory Health Care.
