Ms. McCauley concentrates her practice in Medical Malpractice Defense, hospital and medical school representation, employment law, and health regulatory matters including representation before the Commonwealth of Virginia's health regulatory boards. She has authored and is a national speaker on the legal issues surrounding General and Bariatric Surgery and is a frequent lecturer to health care providers and administrators in the areas of health care risk management, malpractice litigation, human resource risk management, medical malpractice litigation and medical ethics. Ms. McCauley has co-authored publications for Virginia Continuing Legal Education and the University of Richmond Law Review. Recently, Ms. McCauley has been recognized as one of Virginia’s Legal Elite in Health Law (Virginia Business Magazine) and as a Virginia Super Lawyers “Rising Star” (Law and Politics: Virginia Super Lawyers Magazine) In addition to her law practice, Ms. McCauley is on the Board of Directors of Commonwealth Catholic Charities and the Arc of Virginia. She is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Law at the T.C. Williams School of Law, University of Richmond, where she teaches Law Skills and Bioethics. In her leisure time, Ms. McCauley enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, skiing, and sailing.
